get my stubborn old mom out of her home. send the police of barnegat over to her if it gets real bad. she refuses to leave and wants to ride out the storm.
i might call barnegat police station saturday night if I see the weather turn worse. she's on walnut lane, the local firedept. and police know her.
i can't get her, i don't live in new jersey!

Rosen who has a criminal record of passing bad checks and not paying her taxes to the IRS, has no business talking about spending nor should she EVER be considered to be an Ocean County Freeholder.

Come on Ocean County voters.....Lets not even give this DEADBEAT the time of day no less your vote.

The reason the BSD's taxes are now 52% instead of 60% is ONLY because the Town taxes have gone up several million dollars.

The reason Waretown opted out of sending their kids to Barnegat is simple: Your costs are too high. Sotuhern Regional is cheaper.

All you want to do is tap into the Waretown tax base. This is the second year in a row that Waretown has no increases in their Town tax, school tax and no increases in their water & sewer rates.

Maybe Waretown ought to annex Barnegat and teach Barnegat's tax dollars more cents!

My big complaint is... It was at one point it was a paved road, there's 2" pavement on almost a half mile (up to the residential houses), total length of road to the gate to federal wetlands is about 1 1/2-2 miles.. We're only asking for a 1/2 mile of it to be maintained and/or improved. This road according to everyone I have spoken to in the township has no documentation of EVER being paved. Just like they don't have any record of "authorization" for permits about my neighbors garage being built 3 ft on my property either! (prior to our ownership).... What happen to the 15 foot set back?? The township doesn't/hasn't maintained this road, my wife Kirsten has spoken to some "old timers" and they said 50 years ago Taylor Lane was a nice road... what happened, just because they can't get a fund or grant for a road they just let it go.. I see a few roads in town since I've lived here that have been repaved and didn't need it. I don't mind my tax dollars going to other roads why would anyone else have a problem paving ours?? My taxes went up $800 in 2010 I don't have any children we're off the grid except for Electric, phone and cable. We get trash, recycling and pretty good snow plowing services. Why do I have to call 3-4 times asking for public works to run down the road with a grader or front end loader for 30 minutes. I gave up calling I've called four times and nothing happens. I've had family over twice and I've taken four hours filling in washed out holes and I have a bad hip from an accident, I go in mid May for a total hip & socket replacement with a 3-4 month recovery.. I guess the road will be really bad by then... The dirt road just north of us on off of Rt 9 that runs past the ball park to Lower shore road is beautifully maintained with one house on it, why cant they just go 1/10th of a mile south and hit our road.. Uderstanding the township employees are disgruntled by pay freezes, they are lucky to have jobs! I was cut down to part time 2 years ago(I'm in the marine industry) since new boat sales are in the toilet, it's bad in the real world and we all have to make "adjustments" until the economy turns... I know the township is crying too, but even in good times this road was a red headed step child! Collingstown Road is a paved 1/2 mile dead road with three houses (one has a farm) and a business (dog kennel), what happened to the non through road theory there? I'm sure a paved road is easier to maintain than to Piecemeal (half-ass) "repair" a totally destroyed one..... The water drainage problem is far more worse since the strip mall was built, who's the genius behind this?? Anyone who want's to feel good about their street come take a ride down Taylor Lane, or as we call it Bumpy Lane! East off of Rt 9 between sweet Jenny's and Georgetown Blvd. See for yourself how the water drainage zig zags down the road. Nothing like the road that has all that free standing water and that older gentleman has to park on the end of the street then has to carry groceries home... Amazing!!
