The weekend weather at the Shore is shaping up as a mixed bag. While there is chance of a chance of showers and thunderstorms today in the Belmar area, the sun could break through later this afternoon and highs will reach 84.
Tonight will be cloudy with a chance of rain before the weather improves on Saturday.
The National Weather Service is calling for partly sunny skies with a high of 81. The evening low will be 68 Saturday with only a slight chance of precipitation.
Sunday should be sunny early, though there is a 60 percent chance of rain after 5 p.m. Again, the high temperature will be in the low 80s.
The water temperature in Sandy Hook is 75 degrees this morning.
